Manitoba's Big Shop Hop Mosaic Block

• 8 – 4 ¼ “ squares of assorted scraps
• 8 – 4 ¼ “ squares of background

Pair each assorted scrap with a background fabric.  On the wrong side of the background fabric, draw a diagonal line from corner to corner.  Stitch a ¼ “ seam on each side of the drawn line.  Cut on line so there are two half square triangles (HSTs).  Press seams open and square up to 3 ½ “.  Repeat with remaining pair.

Arrange HST units as desired, in a 4 by 4 grid.  Stitch squares together to make 4 rows.  Press seams in opposite directions and then stitch rows together.  Block completed!
